Time Flies When You Are Having Fun!

Introducing Lanner Consultant Hara Papachristou, who joined Lanner last June.

Since this is my first blog entry I feel I should introduce myself to you… I was introduced to Operational Research and developed process optimisation algorithms while completing my undergraduate degree in Greece. I then moved to the UK to do a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics before working as an Engineering consultant.

I have always had a strong interest in improving processes through modelling and having done this on a detailed technical level, I was looking for new challenge in applying my skills on a business level. So I joined my ideal employer – Lanner!

Seven months on…where has the time gone? Well…time flies when you are having fun or being busy. And I have been both busy and having fun!

The busy part of the last seven months included learning WITNESS, adjusting to the new environment and brushing up my memory. The learning curve was (and still is) steep, but my colleagues have helped a lot with their patience and willingness to answer my questions. They made me feel part of the team pretty quickly.

And this is when the fun starts: working in a highly professional, customer-focused environment, within a team of experienced and very capable consultants.

I am looking forward to working with many of you on future projects!
