Lanner CEO David Jones talks about why winning its latest award represents the next step in Lanner’s maturity and growth in Eastern Europe as this is the first of its kind achieved in this region
As our customer base in Eastern Europe continues to grow, I was delighted to hear from our partner in Poland, AMC, that WITNESS had won a national award for innovation. The newly established Expert Laurel Award in Poland recognises the most innovative products and services in the region, and is judged by a panel of top experts from universities and business.
More than 300 products competed in the competition so it goes without saying that we were immensely proud to be one of the category winners, particularly being judged against tough competition on a range of criteria such as innovation, intuitiveness and responsiveness to customer needs.
I headed out to Warsaw this week to attend the ceremony, the first of its kind in Poland, where also met many other nominees and winners from all spectrums of Polish businesses looking to drive future growth across all sectors of the economy, manufacturing in particular.
While accepting that my grasp of the Polish language is severely limited, I could certainly feel the mantra at the ceremony through constant reference to “Know how” and “Innowacja” - innovation. So a great place for Lanner to be, and we hope that this will help spur our business on even more in this region with its wealth of expertise and capability to “get” what we do.
