Anne Rozinat, from process mining experts Fluxicon, and Lanner’s Geoff Hook have been investigating how simulation and process mining can be combined to accelerate the discovery of processes and how best to make changes for improving their performance.

Fluxicon's process mining tool Disco can rapidly construct a process overview from operational data, while simulation complements this visualisation, showing how the process works in action. The accuracy of the mined process model helps to ensure the projected future results of the simulation are accurate.
