What is PRISM?
PRISM is 'The Virtual Police Force'. It is a multi-dimensional decision-making application based on a robust model of four police activities: Call Handling, Incident Response, Investigation and Custody. PRISM removes the long timescales associated with traditional modelling to enable decisions to be made more quickly. PRISM reduces the high consultancy costs typically associated with process modelling. PRISM is designed to be used locally within the force to aid decision making and support continuous improvement activities. PRISM enables you to make decisions quickly - but with the reassurance of having applied the science to support the decision making process and reduce the risk. PRISM delivers the lowest Cost of Ownership (COO) of any process modelling solution on the market.

What are the compelling reasons to use PRISM?
In comparable projects, PRISM delivered results in 2 weeks compared with the 12 weeks experience by the same force using traditional approaches. PRISM delivered results for a single fee of £10,000, versus the £40,000 cost experience by the same force for each previous project. PRISM saved 83% in time. What modules are available now?
PRISM modules for Call Handling and Incident Response are available now. PRISM module for Custody can be ordered now for delivery in Summer 2008. The PRISM module for Investigation is in scoping with the PRISM Customer Steering Group.

What modules will be available?
Future PRISM modules and capabilities are developed in coordination with the PRISM Customer Steering Group. As a user you will be eligible and invited to take part in the steering group activities.

How long does it take before I am getting results?
Purchase PRISM with the onsite training and installation option. You will be up and running at the end of day 1, trained and ready to go by the end of day 2.

What computers are required?
PRISM requires Microsoft Windows XP having service pack SP2 and above.

How to buy?
Police Forces can get quotations and purchase PRISM though the Lanner Customer Support Centre: prismsupport@lanner.co.uk. We recommend you purchase several modules at a time as this delivers a substantial cost saving.

How long does it take to receive PRISM?
You can receive your PRISM DVD within 2 working days by sending a valid Purchase Order directly to:

Do I need a license authorisation code?
Yes. Send an email to prismsupport@lanner.co.uk with your contact details and purchase order number. We will email you your PRISM license authorisation code along with a simple set of instructions within 1 working day.

What if I have purchase more than one of the modules and want to run them on separate computers?
No problem. Install PRISM as instructed on the DVD onto the computers you want to use. Send an email to prismsupport@lanner.co.uk with your contact details, purchase order number and the number of computers you want to load PRISM. We will email your PRISM license authorisation codes along with a simple set of instructions within 1 working day.

What help can I get installing PRISM?
PRISM includes onsite training and installation. You will be up and running at the end of day 1, trained by day 2.

How do I get trained to use PRISM?
PRISM can be purchased with an onsite training and installation. Onsite training typically takes 1 day.

How do I access support assistance?
PRISM support is accessed through the support portal on www.lanner.com. At the time of being given your license authorisation code, you will be given a username and password for the support portal. Within the portal you can find answers to common questions; submit support issues and track their progress.

What if I need to re-install PRISM in the event of a computer failure or getting a new computer?
No problem. Re-install PRISM as instructed on the DVD. Send an email to prismsupport@lanner.co.uk with your contact details. We will check our records, confirm you are the registered owner and email your PRISM license authorisation code along with a simple set of instructions within 1 working day.
